Join us on Mondays for Moliere, Feydeau and More!

The Little French Church Players is a group of actors and theater enthusiasts who meet every Monday to read and perform plays in both French and English. Several times a year, we offer performances of plays as well as variety programs of skits, poetry and song.

The group was founded in 2004 by church member Paris Mitchell, and is currently led by director Marie-Ange Losco. Readings include works by Feydeau, de Maupassant, Marivaux, Ionesco, Becket, Genet, Sartre, and Francophone writers from Haiti and Africa. Past performances have been held at Saint Esprit and at the National Arts Club in Gramercy Park.

All are welcome. No theatrical experience is required.

Meetings are held every Monday from September through June from 6:30 to 9:00PM at 111 East 60th Street, apartment 3F. At these lively gatherings, LFCP members choose and read new material over wine, juice, bread, cheese and other treats.

Our most recent production was "Bench(es): An Evening of Scenes," presented in French and English at Saint Esprit in January and February. These performances raised more than $3,000 for the Haiti Relief Fund of the Episcopal Diocese of New York.
